Saturday March 25 we will be at the Anderson County Main Library for thier How To Day. Join us for this drop-in event featuring demonstrations of all types as well as items for sale. Hours for this event are 10 AM to 3:30 PM. There are morning and afternoon sessions with some of the exhibitors changing between the sessions. The library is located at 300 N. McDuffie St. in Anderson.
March 31 and April 1 will find us in Cumming, GA for the Forsyth County Master Gardeners Plant Sale. This growing event features over 20 plant and garden related vendors in an indoor setting at the Forsyth County Fairgrounds, 235 Castleberry Rd. in Cumming. Sale hours are 8 AM to 5 PM Friday and 8 AM to 4 PM Saturday.
April 6-9 will mark our return to the Midlands Plant and Flower Festival in Columbia, SC after missing their Fall event that was rescheduled in the wake of Hurricane Matthew. Held at the State Farmers Market facility, 3483 Charleston Highway, in West Columbia this event will find the 2 markrt sheds packed with vendors of plants, food, and garden related goods. Festival hours are 8 AM to 6 PM Thursday through Saturday and 10 am to 4 PM Sunday.
April 7 and 8 will also find us at the "Greatest 2 Day Plant Sale in Georgia" with the Hall County Master Gardener's. The Expo is held at the Chicopee Woods Agricultural Center, 1855 Calvary Church Road in Gainsville, this event boasts more than 40 vendors of plant material and garden related items. Additionally, there are lectures, prize drawings, and children's booths throuhgout the event.
April 22 we will be joining the Upstate Chapter of the SC Native Plant Society for their annual plant sale. The sale will be held from 9-1 in the Old Greenville Braves parking lot off Mauldin Rd. A portion of the proceeds from all vendors goes to support the educational mission of the SC Native Plant Society and their rescue and restoration efforts.
April 28 and 29 will be our first trip into NC of the season. Growing in the Mountains will be held at the Western North Carolina Farmers Market located at 570 Brevard Rd. in Asheville. This growers only sale features some of the best plant material in the Carolinas. The hours for this weekend will be from 9 AM to 5 Pm both days.
May 5 through 8 takes us to our longest running event, the Piedmont Plant and Flower Festival at the Greenville State Farmer's Market facility, 1354 Rutherford Rd. in Greenville, SC. While this event has lost some momentum over the years it is absolutely worth visiting to see the array of unique garden plants the vendors continue to provide year after year. Shopping hours are from 8 AM to 6 PM Thursday through Saturday and from 10 AM to 4 PM Sunday.
May 6 marks the second annual Soque Garden Club Spring Garden Extraveganza. This event held at the White County Agri-Science Center, 42 Claud Simms Rd. in Cleveland, GA has a good variety of plants as well as other garden related products. The doors are open for shopping from 8 AM to 4 PM.
May 20 we will return to NC for the Black Mountain Flower Show and Sale. This one day event held in the parking lot of the Monte Vista Hotel, 308 W. State St. in Black Mountain, NC is a great reason to head to the mountains of NC. The show runs from 9 AM to 4 PM.
May 27 and 28 we close out the our spring festivals with a final trip to NC for Hendersonville's Garden Jubilee. Featuring lots of fresh and and even more garden related vendors this event that spans the lenght of Main Street has something for almost everyone. Festival hours are from 9 AM to 5 PM both days.
